House

What an Interesting Adventure

Last night, we got home and found a tree in our backyard had fallen onto our house and the neighbors house.

Luckily, the only real damage appeared to be some dented metal gutters. So, we changed and got to work on clearing the tree. I immediately realized I had left the larger of my two chainsaws at a friends house over 50 miles away. So, using my pruning chainsaw, I got to work. After about a half hour of work, the little chainsaw got stuck in a branch and I could n’t get it out. So, off to Lowes I went. For $100, I purchased a chainsaw that is a more up to date version of the chainsaw I had left at my friend’s place (anyone want to purchase a 2 year old electric chainsaw?). Meanwhile, Celia and the neighbors worked on clearing branches.

The neighbor’s husband came home and set up some lights. (Not to self: get some lights like this to us around the house, including photgraphy.) We got his house cleared off and most of the stuff between the houses done by 9 PM.

This morning, after taking Celia to work, I got back out and finished clearing the stuff off of our house.

Here is a picture of Misha (you can barely see her kittens). There are so many kittens in that barrel with her, that I think she has grabbed another cat’s litter.
