Several firearms discussion web sites have been under a near constant denial of service (DOS) attack (The High Road, AR15.com and Glocktalk.com) for the past several weeks. The High Road’s hosting provider apparently is unable to do anything about these attacks. The High Road is currently looking for a new hosting provider. The attacks have been traced to a Chicago area data center that refuses to even respond to inquiries about this. These DOS attacks are in effect stealing from the hosting provider and the owners of these web sites. I normally do not say that there should be a law, but in this case I do believe one is needed (if it there isn’t already one). I also believe that the hosting companies having to deal with this should sue the owners of the data center in Chicago.
