The Second Amendment Community Is Tired of Compromise

The supporters of the Second Amendment are tired of compromise. For almost 100 years we have been compromising. And, we are tired of us being the people who have to compromise. To paraphrase Tom Gresham (host of GunTalk radio): “The only compromise we are going to accept is to repeal half of all the gun control laws that are out there, this year.  Next year, we will go after half of the laws that are remaining.” The fact of the matter is, gun control laws do not work and will not work in the USA. Crime, even homicidal mass murder, is societal problem that can not be fixed by laws alone.

This is a hatchet piece from CNN that is starting the push against customization of firearms. I think Mike says it best:

I’m just boggled at the utter FASCISTOFUCK assumptions there.

“Wait, you’re telling me people can not only own guns, THEY CAN DECORATE THEM TO PERSONAL TASTE?????  There’s no special requirements???”

Yes, just like painting flames on the hood of your Chevy.  You know why?

BECAUSE WE LIVE IN A FREE FUCKING REPUBLIC!

Don’t like it?  LEAVE.  There’s 213 other countries.  200 of them ban guns.  Pick one. 

This summarizes the mood of many Second Amendment supporters, including me.
