Teacher Sues to Defend Herself

Teacher Sues to Defend Herself

Summary: The teacher is a victim of domestic violence and she has a protective order against her ex-husband. Her ex-husband teaches at the school she teaches at. She has a license to carry a concealed handgun. However, laws that forbid carrying on school property prevent her from carrying. She wants the ability to defend herself from someone proven to be physically violent.

My Opinion: If the teacher keeps her handgun on her person at all times, and receives additional in-depth training, she should be allowed to carry. Most state conceled carry classes cover the law, safety and marksmanship. They do not cover the tactics of using a firearm in real-world scenarios. This is the reason I think additional training should be required.
