My Opinion On the Upswing in Mass Murders

The recent upswing in mass murders can be attributed to a couple of things:

1. Increased stress – With the economic downturn more people are cracking under the mental pressure. This can result in suicide, addiction, or lashing out. Let’s face it, the people who commit these crimes are insane.
2. A perverted form of narcissism – When these people send missives to news stations before committing these crimes, they are trying to get the world to look at them. We could lessen the likelihood of these people committing these acts by just not publishing their name or anything else about them. Do not give them attention.
3. A feeling of being powerless – They feel that the only way they can get control, is to show the world that they have the power of choosing who lives and who dies.
