Idiocy

The Texas State Legislature has two bills before it instituting drunk driving checkpoints (HB 169 and SB298). A 15 year veteran of Texas law enforcement is against these checkpoints. If you are a Texas resident, please contact your  house and senate reps and let them know that you are against these checkpoints.

As is pointed out in the link. Texas law enforcement has no trouble catching the drunk drivers. The problem is they are not punished. I am so glad the Texas legislature only meets once every two years (and it is for a only a few months).
