Grump, Grump, Grump

When my mom was looking at moving up here, she was interested in renting the house next door. Well, we could not find a way to contact the owners so we could get the details. Now, we have had a family move in next door. I haven’t met them yet. But, they have at least three (possibly more) vehicles. There is room for two vehicles in the driveway. They have a pit bull. By and large, I will give pit bulls the benefit of the doubt. One of the sweetest, friendliest, and most cowardly dogs I have ever known was a pit bull. However, every time I have stepped outside and the pit bull was there, it has growled at me and started toward me. Luckily, the owners have been outside and called it off. Now, I don’t feel safe taking out the garbage. I don’t like feeling that I need to be armed and need to escort my wife and any guests we may have over at our house. You throw in the fact that our chainlink fence between the neighbors and us is short enough for the dog to stand on its hind legs and be head and shoulders over the fence, and I don’t feel safe in my backyard either.

For my friends local to me (and who go unarmed), if you come to visit, please call me when you get here. I will walk out and escort you into the house.
