Warning For My Friends

One of the people on the e-mail lists I use is a trucker. Apparently, there is a planned independent trucker’s strike for April 1st through 5th. This could drastically disrupt grocery and food supplies. The reason they are going on strike is to encourage congress to pass a bill that they downchecked at Walmart’s (and other companies) urging last year. This would have required the fuel cost surcharge billed to whoever is paying for the shipping actually be fully paid to whoever pays for the fuel for the load.

You may want to stock up on some extra groceries and make sure your gas tank stays close to full.
