Atlanta Police Seek Kitten Hurling Woman

On June 21st, a woman came to the Atlanta Humane Society with three kittens in a cage, planning to leave them there for adoption. When informed that the shelter was temporarily full and couldn’t take in any more animals, she became highly incensed, shaking and rattling the cage on her way to her car. When a shelter employee called out that she was calling the police, the woman threw a gray kitten out of the car as she sped away. Although shelter workers searched for the kitten, it has not yet been found. As of today, the Atlanta Police are investigating the case, but according to the Action News Atlanta video tape, no arrest has yet been made. The woman is described as “petite, in her 50s with red curly hair.” According to the police she sped off in a red Ford compact.
