Professional versus Unprofessional Online Companies

Time for a little rant about professional versus unprofessional businesses.
I recently made 2 different orders. One from a company that sells spices and the other sells tea. They are 2 very similar businesses.

First up is the unprofessional company. I made an order with them over a year ago. I had problems with the order, but really loved the product. Because of problems on their end, it took over a month for me to receive my order and I ended up receiving my order twice. They had stuffed my order into an express mail (USPS) box that arrived mangled and quite obviously soaked. Luckily, the tins the spices were in were shrink wrapped, so the product wasn’t ruined. TWO weeks ago, I placed an order with them again. Three days ago, I got an email asking if I had received my order. After informing them that I had not, I got an email telling me my order had been shipped. The email included a USPS tracking number. The USPS website still has no record of the shipment. I will not be ordering from them again.

Now, for the professional company. I made an order with Adagio Teas 3 days ago. The next day I had a tracking number which gave me the tracking information on their website. If I wanted more details, they had a link to UPS which gives me more than enough information. The package arrived today. It was quite obviously professionally packed. The box was of the correct size and had airpacks that kept everything from moving around. I wish they also sold spice blends. I will be using them for all of my tea purchases from now on.
