Prepare For a Very Hot & Dry Summer
Drought Conditions Spreading Across Texas
The latest U.S. dought monitor came out yesterday, and it shows extremely dry conditions spreading across Texas. Currently 74% of the state is in a moderate or worse drought. The 90-day forecast shows warmer and dryer than normal conditions across most of the state. Current long range forecasts show these conditions lasting until fall.
This means we can expect to see higher utility bills (water and electric) combined with a possibilty of higher food bills. There will most likely be watering restrictions throughout the state.
