Now, This is how Americans are supposed to handle things
Kauai residents don’t wait for state to repair road
Their livelihood was being threatened, and they were tired of waiting for government help, so business owners and residents on Hawaii’s Kauai island pulled together and completed a $4 million repair job to a state park — for free.
I love this. Residents of the area who depend on the state park road aand bridge for their livelihoods see that the state wasn’t (unable or unwilling) going to repair it in a timely manner. So, they did the repairs. After gathering materials, equipment, and manpower, it only took them 8 days to do the job. I wish I could go there and shake their hands. More people need to stop waiting for the government to do things and do it themselves.
