Getting Back Into Archery
With the recent rises in ammo prices, I’ve decided to get back into archery. A couple of months back, I placed the following package from Outdoor Pro Shop on layaway:
- PSE Bruin 60# bow
- Whisker Biscuit Arrow Rest
- Cobra release
- TruGlo Lite-Brite Archery Site
- Quiver
- 4 Carbon-fiber Arrows
- Package of three broadheads
- Case
I took it out of layaway yesterday and set up an archery range in my backyard. For a back stop I have two spare sections in front of my my fence. They are setup so that the arrows can not go through the gaps. In front of this, I have an archery target bag hanging up. I discovered I am very rusty. I accidently set off the release before I was ready, and the arrow went about 6″ through a board in the fence. Other shots went into the bag, except for one. This arrow caught the edge of the bag and got stuck in one of the supports for the fence section.
