Why I carry a firearm while at home

Some people may not know this. But, when I am at home, I am usually carrying. Some people may think “why would he do that? He is at home and safe.” But, are you really safe at home. An increasingly common tactic is the “hot” home invasion. This is where the robbers kick in the door, without knocking first. If I am carrying, I don’t have to reach for or go to where a firearm is at. I just have to defend myself and my family. Home invaders are not going to care for your family’s safety. In fact, it is just the opposite. The home invaders will wish to cause pain and terror in an effort to control you and your family.

I know many people don’t carry outside of the home for a variety of reasons, but it is easy to carry in the home. If you can legally possess a firearm, you can legally carry in your home.You can generally get a kydex paddle holster for $20 and up. Have a setup where, when you get home, you just pick up the paddle holster and in your waistband. For people without waistbands, just put the holster on a belt and put the belt on when you get home. Believe me, after a night or two doing this, you will notice the lack of carrying.

Carrying at home costs you little to no money, and can add to the security of your home.
